Server maintenance

JB Metro has invested in new internal ERP servers and they are being installed this evening.

From 4pm AEST our websites will be switched into maintenance mode whilst this swap and data transfer occurs.

We predict the websites will be live again after 9pm.

Apologies for the inconvenience and we hope the upgrade improves the experience of ordering online for all our customers.

Credit Card Payments failing

Our developers are working on ensuring this is working within the next 24 hours.

Freight fees

JB Metro has introduced a $4 ex GST freight fee across its Sydney Metropolitan distribution. This is due to the rising costs of tolls and fuel.

These fees are tax deductible to businesses.

AACS Supplier of the year

The Distributors have won the "Distributor of the Year" award at the Australasian Association of Convenience Stores (AACS) at their annual awards which were celebrated in the Grand Ballroom of the ICC in Sydney.

JB Metro is very proud to be a part of this win as this makes it a win 8 years in a row for The Distributors.

Solar Power

JB Metropolitan Distributors has finalised its solar construction at its premises in Moorebank.

330kw of panels were installed over August and September by Genelec Power Systems.

JB Metro has long looked at ways of recycling and reducing waste inside our warehouses. By reusing cartons and removing fax lines we've cut back on our paper/cardboard use over the year. This new solar installation is already saving over 1 tonne of CO² per day.

COVID Restrictions and open times

Hello to all our customers.

JB Metropolitan Distributors is still open for business to supply all our grocery and convenience customers (and other) that are deemed essential services.

Orders can still be placed by your salesperson, over the phone, via email, or online.

Home delivery is still available to all existing and new customers as well. Ask for contactless delivery and our drivers can either leave stock in a safe place or sign for the delivery. Please remember that frozen or refrigerated stock cannot be left unattended and will need to be delivered to a person.

Due to reduced staff, our cut-off times are now:

Monday-Wednesday 2:00pm

Thursday 3:00pm

Friday 1:30pm
